Terms of Use
Short and unsurprising. This page covers using the website itself — what you may do with what is published here, and what is not promised. Any research, advisory or teaching engagement is governed by the written agreement for that piece of work, not by this page.

Using this site
Read it, share it, link to it, quote it with attribution. What you may not do is copy it wholesale and present it as your own, scrape it to train or populate another service, or use it to imply that I endorse or am associated with something I am not.
The publications listed here
The text of this site is mine. The books, chapters, articles and papers listed on it are described and cited here, not reproduced: copyright in each remains with its authors and publishers, and anything you take from one should be cited to the work itself, not to this site.
Organisation names and trademarks belong to their owners and appear here to identify where work was carried out or who funded it, not to claim any endorsement by that organisation.
Accuracy and what is not promised
The career details, dates and figures on this site are taken from my curriculum vitae and are accurate as of when the page was last updated. Nothing here is professional advice for your particular situation: findings and views from published research are general, and the works themselves are the authority for what they say.
The site is provided as it is. Links to other sites are there because they were useful when written; I do not control what those sites do afterwards.
Engagements are separate
Nothing on this site is an offer or a contract. Scope, method, timeline, deliverables and fees are agreed in writing for each piece of work before it begins, and that written agreement is what governs the work — including the parts described on the Expertise page.
In plain terms: what you read here tells you how I work. What we sign tells you what you are getting. If the two ever disagree, the signed document wins.
Changes to these terms
These terms can change as the site does. The date above is the date of the current version, and a change never applies backwards to work already agreed.
